Inmunicin Maymó

What is Inmunicin Maymó?

Within its range of natural products, Laboratorios Maymó S.A. has developed Inmunicin Maymó, a complementary feed based on plant phytosterols with immunomodulatory properties.

The immune system is affected by multiple challenges (vaccination programmes, environmental changes, weaning, stress, among others). These challenges may carry higher risk of infection during these critical periods.

Inmunicin Maymó can modify the immune response, making it more efficient while improving the general health of the animal and performance parameters.

How does it work?

Inmunicin Maymó has natural immunomodulatory properties. Its mechanism of action is precisely known (1) (2):

  • Positive effects on the innate immune response: increasing activity of both NK (Natural Killer) and dendritic cells.
  • Better cellular immune response: modifying Th1/Th2 balance toward a higher Th1 response (T helper cells). Th1 cells play an important role in the response against intracellular pathogenic (bacteria, virus).

Because of this mechanism of action, the immune system is “in alert” and the animals will be healthier and react better in front of any challenge.

Benefits

  • Improves both innate and acquired immune response.
  • Better protection against challenges.
  • Natural alternative that contributes to the reduction of the use of antimicrobials.
  • Enhances the immune status of the animal.
  • Better performance parameters.

Instructions of use

Inmunicin Maymó is a complementary feed for oral administration. Marketed in bags of 25 kg.

Pigs:

  • 2 Kg of Inmunicin Maymó per ton of complete feed, for 8 weeks. Recommendation: administration from week 5 to week 13 of age.
  • The administration of Inmunicin Maymó may be adjusted to the health status of each farm.
  • It is recommended to start the treatment 2-3 weeks before challenge (vaccination, outbreak).

Poultry:

  • 0,5 to 2 Kg of Inmunicin Maymó per ton of complete feed, during the whole fattening period.

Rabbits:

  • 1 to 2 Kg of Inmunicin Maymó per ton of complete feed, depending on the age of the animal, during the fattening period.
